INTRODUCTION
Reading and Reflection is a process to enhance the proficiency of reading, writing, thinking and communicating in the language of instruction. It also helps to develop the meta-cognitive skills and enhance the capacities as readers and writers by becoming participants in the process of reading and writing.
As a part of the two year B. Ed curriculum, teacher trainees are intended to conduct a reading and reflection of any one text of their choice and interest. Reading helps to develop aesthetic, cultural, vocational and professional ethics and values.  With this objective in mind student teachers read, reflect and review upon the text book they read.

Jon R. Luoma, a contributing editor at Audubon, has written about environmental and science topics for The New York Times, and for such magazines as National Geographic and Discover.  His third book, “The Hidden Forest; Biography of an Ecosystem”, has been released in a new edition by Oregon State University Press.

This book tells the story of how old growth forest were redeemed in the view of foresters as an ecologically significant ecosystem through the studious effort and discoveries of many biologists.
This book, however, can only be realistically recommended to people who are comfortable with their distinction between their myararhizae and algae as the book is bagged down with so ecological terminology.
